Quality in pedigrees with a solid stakes winning race record is important to Special T as they have sought to improve their stallion roster. The roster has grown impressively each year, beginning in 2000 with Mud Route (by Strawberry Road), a multiple graded winner of $672,040. Owned by a Syndicate and standing for $5,000 LF, this will be his 3rd year at stud. The latest addition for 2002 is Comic Strip (by Red Ransom), another multiple graded winner of $965,474 (on turf and dirt). Leased by Del Chase from Lane's End Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, he stands for $7,500 LF. Also new in 2002 are two stallions owned by The Robert H. Walter Family Trust, Slewvescent (by Seattle Slew) standing for $5,000 LF, sire of Grade I millionaire mares Tout Charmant and Lazy Sluzan, as well as Robannier (by Batonnier) a graded stakes winner himself who stands for $2,000 LF. New to Special T Thoroughbreds is Globalize (by Summer Squall), who will be standing for $5,000 LF. Phone Roberto (by Phone Trick) is a stakes winner and multiple stakes placed winner of $265,583. Owned by Herrick Racing, LLC and standing for $2,000 LF. Rounding out the roster is a son of A.P. Indy (Horse of the Year and Champion earner of $2,979,815) named Taskmaster, a half-brother to graded stakes winner Voodoo Dancer; he is privately owned and standing for $2,000 LF. We are now considering additions to the 2002 roster, to find out more about standing your stallion with Special T Throughbreds, please contact Rick Taylor. |
